Meet The Team

The Team

We're in our prime!

We've been looking after our customers' dental health in Sawley since 1996. It's been long enough to build a fantastic level of trust and experience. But we're bang up to date too. Dentistry is changing fast and we keep moving with it, constantly studying and introducing the latest practices in tooth whitening, smile makeovers, dental implants, minimally invasive adhesive techniques and a full range of cosmetic treatments.

  • Steve
    Partner – Steve Pearce
BDS, BSc, MFGDP (UK) RCS, GDC 71784

Steve studied dentistry at the University of Birmingham. Following an honours degree in physiology he graduated as Bachelor in Dental Surgery (BDS) in 1996. He completed his vocational training at Sawley in 1997. He achieved a diploma in general dental practice from the Royal College of Surgeons in 1998.

Steve holds a certificate in dental implantology from the University of Sheffield Dental Implant One to One course. He’s a member of the Faculty of General Dental Practitioners (UK), Association of Dental Implantology and the British Dental Association. He has a special interest in implant dentistry and regularly attends postgraduate meetings on the subject.

Steve is married with 2 children and (when not required as dad’s taxi) enjoys mountain biking, swimming and listening to music.

    Steve says:
“Technology is opening up new possibilities in dental implants, bringing real quality of life benefits”
  • Andrew
    Partner – Andrew Nobles
BDS, PGDip Restorative and Aesthetic Dentistry, GDC 74731

Andrew studied at Sheffield University Dental School and completed his vocational training at Sawley in 1999.

In 2009 Andrew completed a 2-year post graduate diploma in advanced restorative and cosmetic dentistry. He enjoys using his skills in practising minimally invasive restorative dentistry. He believes in maintaining as much natural tooth structure for as long as possible, employing all the latest techniques in adhesive dentistry and often avoiding the need for crowns or veneers.

Andrew is married and loves being a daddy to two young children (although this may be why he now has grey hair).

    Andrew says:
“My approach is all about prevention, using minimally invasive techniques to help prevent problems down the line”
  • Sarah
    Sarah Adnams — Associate Dentist
    BChD, GDC 63609

Sarah qualified from Leeds University in 1988, completed her vocational training at Sawley in 1989 and has been here ever since.

She enjoys all aspects of dentistry and especially the relationships she has developed with families over the years. A measure of how much she enjoys her job is that she continues to commute to Sawley despite relocating to Norfolk in 2002!

    Sarah says:
“Finding a dentist whom you trust and have a good rapport with is an important part of your future dental health”
  • Vanessa
    Vanessa Stafford — Dental Hygienist
    CEB Dip DH, GDC 5004

Vanessa qualified as an hygienist from Birmingham University and joined the practice in 1996.

Vanessa's main job is being mum to her two children but she also happens to be a very experienced hygienist! She enjoys delivering a full range of treatments aimed at maintaining gum health and giving tips and advice on good oral health techniques.

    Vanessa says:
“Don't neglect your gum health or be embarrassed about seeking advice if you have bleeding gums — we’ve seen it all before and we’re here to help.”
  • Catherine
    Catherine Fellows — Dental Therapist
Dip DT, Dip DH, GDC 171288

Catherine joined Sawley Dental Practice shortly after qualifying as a Dental Therapist in 2008. She enjoys all aspects of her job, and as a mother of two small children she is particularly good at treating youngsters.

    Catherine says:
“Healthy teeth and gums come from adoption at a young age of good oral hygiene and dietary habits”
  • Harsha
    Harsha Kumar — Dental Therapist
    Dip DH & T, GDC 239698

Harsha qualified in 2012 and joined us in 2013 as a maternity cover for Catherine — but we just couldn't let her go when Catherine returned. Harsha has a young family and a bubbly personality. She enjoys helping patients and is very good at putting them at ease.

    Harsha says:
“Look after your gums, they are the foundations of a fabulous smile”
